April 22, 2023 – SenseAuto has received ISO26262:2018 Functional Safety ASIL B Product Certification for its SenseAuto pilot, a L2+ intelligent driving solution from the internationally recognized institution, SGS.

The ISO26262 certification is a global standard for automotive functional safety. Obtaining the certification confirms that SenseAuto Pilot meets and exceeds the stringent functional safety requirements of ISO 26262:2018. This achievement underscores SenseAuto's unwavering commitment to safety and quality, and places the company at the forefront of the industry in delivering safer, smarter, and more enjoyable “third living space” experience.

ISO 26262 is a functional safety standard for road vehicles that is applied to safety-related systems.  It aims to reduce automotive risks resulting from increasingly complex vehicle systems and functions. SenseAuto Pilot was developed following ISO 26262's rigorous functional safety processes throughout the product development lifecycle. Independent testing by SGS validated that SenseAuto Pilot satisfies all relevant safety requirements.

If there is not an order to the certificates can say - SenseAuto previously passed the ASPICE Level 2 assessment, obtained ISO 26262 ASIL D functional safety process certification, and in 2022 successfully completed the ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity process certification.  SenseAuto is also the first Chinese company to receive the ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity product certification from SGS Global Functional Safety Center.  As one of few AI companies holding a comprehensive set of certifications including ISO 26262, ASPICE CL2, and both ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity process and product certifications, SenseAuto is establishing the standard for safety assurance for the autonomous vehicle industry.
